Rimtech's variety
Hover Jets, sometimes referred to as Skyhawks, are one of two different aeroplanes available in Metal Fatigue, the other being the Hover Bomber. They are created and stored at the Aircraft Hangar.
They are the fastest unit in-game, but rather weak in terms of health and damage output. This make them ideal for surgical strikes in the Orbital Layer as well as air-combat in general, though not very useful aside from scouting on the Surface Layer, as most bases and moving armies have significant anti-air capabilities.
